Oh no you poor thing, I had unbearably itchy bum once which I think was piles related but was made a million times worse by anusol, think I'm allergic / super sensitive to one of the ingredients.
Talcum powder after washing to keep the area dry seemed to help a lot.

3littlefrogs · 07/06/2010 22:04

you could be allergic to soap or some other product???

madonnawhore · 07/06/2010 22:07

Threadworm? Anal thrush? Is it only at night or during the day too?

Elasticwoman · 07/06/2010 22:10

Might be thrush.

If you are put off seeing the dr because you fear intimate examination, I was prescribed thrush treatment without that.

this was many years ago, and the thrush kept coming back. At last the dr gave me an oral antibiotic instead and that did the trick - haven't had thrush for more than 20 years.

Sounds like piles to me. You poor thing. Go to the doc (sorry) anyway, by far the best to get it checked - then you'll know what it is if it happens again, iyswim.

Have you tried Anusol H? (The one with the hydrocortisone in it does nothing, IME)
