Booked in for tues to get it removed, but have had two weeks of pain and have totally had enough. Painkillers are doing nothing today, my lymph nodes have reacted, swollen majorly, i'm not sleeping right and am so fed up of this, spoke with pharmacist yesterday and she thinks i've reacted to the metal in the coil? What can i do?

Yes, go. It sounds horrible

If the pharmacist thinks it's an allergic reaction then yes. A and E should be quite quiet atm, and it will only take them a minute

Just called a&e to check, they said no, it's a gp thing not emergency and they gave me a family planning clinic number that isn't running till tomorrow and i'm not even gonna get an appt tomorrow.

I don't think it's an allergic reaction as much as an infection which needs treating immediately. An allergy doesn't make your lymph nodes swell or cause pain like that.

I went to a&e, then ood, then back to a&e. It was a bartholin cyst, the size of an egg. Had general anaesthetic today and had it drained and marsupilized, home now and feeling much better. Thanks all.
