She is concerned and thinks she should see a doctor. Does anyone know what this is. I have seen people have the underarms injected to stop so much sweating there. What can be done about the hands though, in particluar??

I've had similar in the past - doctor wasn't concerned but recommended the use of an aluminium chloride solution to keep it under control. They are available over the counter. Anhydrol Forte or Driclor are both good, they really do work. I think there is a special Driclor cream for hands and feet (as opposed to the roll on for underarms).

I think there is an operation they can do for it, it may involve cutting a nerve, I think. Hyperhidrosis is the name of the condition if you didn't know- I'm sure there is plenty of information online.

There is a special over the counter antiperspirant called driclor and you can use it on your 'pits, hands and feet, put it on every night for a week and then that's it for a month - works really well. check with the doc first though just in case it something thyroid related...

Sorry zgaze didn't see your post there!

I had this problem, just with my underarms, until I was in my early 20's. Someone recommended Driclor and I only used it 3-4 times and the problem was solved. I couldn't believe something so embarassing that had plagued me for so long could be resolved so easily.

It might be worth a trip to the docs aswell just to make sure nothing else is causing it.

It is fantastic stuff - saved me so much embarrassment over the years.
