Just wanted to say thanks so much for telling me about the child that died in Scotland whilst going under ga for dental work.

Very reassuring to hear when your child is due to go under one in a weeks time

I cannot believe how insensitive some people can be

We nearly did that Jasper. I was in a deep sleep and dd was like "the fairy hasn't been". I was like wait and mummy will come and have a look. I had the money in my hand, grabbed the tooth (she hadn't seen that) Then said oh there it was Now have to write big reminders to myself.

I am particularly funny about teeth after paying out 2500 for my implant !

Tell me about your implant. I am currently on a year long implant course. Are you pleased with the result? Where in your mouth is the tooth?

Blossomhill · 05/08/2005 22:53

It's front right tooth. I am pleased with the result although the actual tooth is thicker at the top than my natural one which I believe is becausue I had so much bone loss. Also the back is metal which I also didn't realise. However I am still over the moon with it. If you seen the maryland bridge I had it, it was awful. I have so much confidence since having it done.

How did you go about choosing a dentist to do the job? was it your regular dentist or were you referred/ did you source it for yourself?

My course is held in South Shields near Newcastle. It is really interesting.

Blossomhill · 05/08/2005 22:59

Hi Jasper - well I saw a regular dentist who really was confident enough to do it. So I saw this guy at St Georges (referral from other dentist) and he was very confident so I just thought why not. He has done well over 1200 with only 20 failures and they were all smokers. If you are a non smoker and it fails he does re-do it.
his website is here
