Can you have a non-specific viral rash with no other symptoms?

DH has what looks like one of these but apart from the itching of the rash he feels completely fine - no temperature, no cold symptoms etc. Could it still be a non-specific viral rash in this case or is it more likely to be an allergic reaction? I presumed that with a NS-viral rash you'd feel like you actually had a virus...

I had something possibly parvovirus a couple of years ago and was quite unwell. I passed the rash part onto my DD but she was otherwise fine. Enjoyed a day off school as I obviously couldn't send her - she was full of beans! Anyone else in your family had something recently?

DD has very minor cold, she is fine with it though.

Hope your DH is ok - and hopefully someone a bit more medical will come along to advise!
