I wore some summer shoes on Wednesday , without socks and got a blister on my small toe. Its so sore, oozing clear fluid, but also some puss. Its swollen and very red. I think its gone septic . I have put Germolene regularly on it today let the discharge drain out... and gone barefoot more.
Should l seek medical advice or just wait and see ??

I'd give it a few days before you call in the medicos. If the discharge has drained and you keep the affected area clean and dry (medicated creams sometimes keep the area to soggy) then it should clear up by itself.

If it is red, is it hot? Are their veins tracking from the infection site (red lines going out from the blister and up towards the leg) If so you need antibiotics. I had to have major surgery on my foot after a teeny tiny blister!

Keep it dry, keep an eye on it. Lay off the germolene.

Would seek medical advice asap. Self treating it could just cause more problems.
