Heartburn so bad giving me chest pains? Can hardly move

It started last night. The worst heartburn I have ever had. I can't eat anything, or drink anything without intense pain, followed by chest pain.

I'm going to docs this afternoon, but just wondered if anyone else had ever had anything like this.

I've had it a couple of times, triggered by taking some food supplement thing that is supposed to be taken with food - on its own, empty stomach, at bedtime.

I lay in bed thinking I was going to have a heart attack then I remembered

Have you tried the usual Gaviscon etc? You can buy Losec over the counter from pharmacies now and it's really good.

Hmm, I might have taken an antibiotic last night without food, although I have done that before.

And it is still as bad now 14- hours later.

I tried gaviscon advanced last night, no help. If anything made it worse.
