not homoepathic but try aquaeous cream with calamine in rather than just calamine on its own.

Blottedcopybook · 09/05/2010 12:09

Homeopathy is absolutely pointless - there is no scientific or clinical evidence to back up any claims about Homeopathy being effective at all. Please, please research it before wasting your money on this quackery.

For chickenpox if you're already using oat baths, piriton, paracetamol/ibuprofen suspension and calamine (cream is better than lotion) then you're doing the best you can. I hope your daughter feels better quickly.

thsnks both, we have been trying all those things, but she has probably about 200 spots and is totally miserable
BCB, each to their own , i've used homeopathy several times and 'i believe'! even if it was placebo effect, it did a job which conventional medicine didn't help!

I'd try prayer rather than homeopathy.

There might actually be a God.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 09/05/2010 13:51

Blimey! You lot are helpful aren't you!

Sorry, I can't help you, OP, but I hope someone more open-minded will be along with some suggestions!

catbus · 09/05/2010 13:52

Belladonna for red, hot and dry. Homeopathy has worked for my family for years; including a very distressed newborn, for whom placebo is not an issue. As far as anything else, homeopathy isn't one size fots all; you need to see a decent homeopath, as individual symptoms and all are key.

catbus · 09/05/2010 13:53

FITS all I mean..

CoteDAzur · 09/05/2010 14:17

I'd rather not be so "open-minded" that wind blows through my head.

There is a mn reward for anyone who proves that homeopathy is effective. Why do you think this money is still not claimed, years after it is offered?

CoteDAzur · 09/05/2010 14:18

million reward, I mean.

CoteDAzur · 09/05/2010 14:19

oh, fgs. One million dollar reward.

olivo · 09/05/2010 19:46

thanks catbus, i thought it was belladonna i'd read about. I wa ssupposed to be taking dd to a homeopath about her sleeping issues but the pox beat me to it!
cotedazur, as i said, each to their own...
