Can stress /worry cause chest pain?

Hi

I have had a fairly stressful/ worrying week and also fairly busy...today I noticed a couple of stabbing pains in my chest(not lasting longer than a couple of secs)

but i feel absolutely fine in between..pls reassure me it is nothing to worry about..thx for reading

yes it can. anxiety causes muscle spasm. I used to get it alot and then it gave me panic attacks worrying about it. Kind of vicious circlr

sounds more muscular but get advice if you get pain in chest plus any of the following-

-pain moving through to back
-pain moving into arm
-pain radiating up neck/jaw
-tingling in arm/hand
-changes in breathing
-nausea/vomiting
-skin colour change
-clammy/cold/sweaty

phew..thx I feel fine just the odd stabbing pain

I had this in the last couple of weeks before I delivered DC4 in April. I know I was stressed.
I was worried about having 4 kids, the other were playing up as if they knew she was coming, I had to rehome my precious hounds....
I got very nasty stabbing pains lasting only seconds as I felt myself getting stressed.

Now the stressful period has passed I have not had a single one. I was convinced I was going to drop down dead of a heart attack only days before I got to meet my long awaited daughter!
