Should I wake the DC and wash their hair - Hedrin question

We are lousy! Again! Last time I used Hedrin (last year) it had to be left on overnight. This time I used the 1hr version but I put it on after the DC's bath so I was planning to leave it on overnight.

However my hands have come up in a really horrible rash, which didn't happen with the other version of Hedrin, and now I'm a bit worried that the DC will have painful scalps if I leave them all night without washing it off. On the other hand if I wake them they will be buggers to get back to sleep afterwards.

What should I do?

Id wash it off, better them being a pain than being rashy and in pain.

I went for the middle path in the end of turning the light on and checking their scalps. They were fine.
