1st period after birth/ bfing= nightmare!

Well, like the title says, I'm on.

In fact, I have been on for 3 weeks. Solid.

I am normally a 3-day light-flow kinda gal, but this time it's hit me hard. I'm an emotional wreck (that's hit me this week, was fine the previous 2), and bleeding heavily non stop, even at night, is getting me down.

DD3 is now 3 and a half months old. A week after I stopped feeding her myself, I went to my gp and asked for my usual Pill. I came on -coincidentally- the same day. I am now near the end of the pack and still bleeding heavily.

Any similar experiences? Should I go back to the Gp, or should I wait a bit longer?

Tbh, I am not in pain at all. I just cry at the drop of a hat, have a funny urge to strangle Dp every time he walks in, and am ready to buy shares in a selection of sanitary towels companies!

This matter needs reporting to the GP asap; you should not be bleeding in such a manner or for so long.

The GP may not be very helpful, you need to determine the cause as well as treat the symptoms. I would also therefore ask at the same time for a gynae referral.

Thanks Attila, I didn't think it was normal, it definitely didn't hit me like this after DD1 and 2.
