Well the fact that this is his first since February is the 'good' (or is it spectacular?) bit

The new medication is working

That is good, how's Dd? Could that have been why your dh was being a bit grumpy about it all?

Katymac · 02/05/2010 22:04

I guess it could have been brewing for a few days before the physical evidence arrived; he is often grumpy with his particular strain of bug (it's an actual symptom rather than man flu)

DDs chest is pretty good peak flow 280 tonight (normally about 230ish) - oddly enough during the whole site thing it has been quite stable which when you consider how bad she was at the beginning of the year is bizarre

That is good news Katymac, what new meds is he on if you don't mind me asking?

Hope he is better soon

CarGirl · 02/05/2010 22:07

We are curious things, perhaps if her asthma was flaring up her body couldn't actually do the non-seeing thing anyway! It seems that the body can only focus on one issue at a time tbh.

Like I know I'm really unwell if my back stops hurting because really it is still hurting it's just that the other pain is far far worse and distracting my nervous system from it!

Katymac · 02/05/2010 22:11

He is on 500mg of amoxicillin twice a day as a prophylactic (is that the right word........or have I got it spectacularly wrong)

& that converts to 1g of amoxicillin 3 times a day when his sputum changes colour

Possibly Cargirl - not sure (if I had a choice; which I don't) which is actually worse

OP posts:
CarGirl · 02/05/2010 22:14

Blimely that's a lot of amoxicillin - eek!

Katymac · 02/05/2010 22:18

Well it is better than IV

I was quite ed at the holding dose as it is more than I would get for tonsillitis or a tooth abscess

CarGirl · 02/05/2010 22:20

That was what I thought!

Katymac · 02/05/2010 22:21
