only to be careful where you buy it from

MerlinsBeard · 30/04/2010 15:59

My recommendation would be to go to your GP who will prescribe it if they think that you need it.

BitOfFun · 30/04/2010 16:00

GPs can't prescribe it AFAIK- only consultants.

Just google and do your research carefully.

colditz · 30/04/2010 16:04

Have a look on the SN board, I think a few of the mums on their buy it for their kids

navelgazer · 30/04/2010 16:07

I am being careful - that's why I'm researching here!(and other places)

GP has told me to get it online unofficially. He said a few of his Gp colleagues use it successfully. It is only prescribed for certain disorders (not mine), I have done my research and i am happy to get it online so now.. can anyone recommend a reputable site/brand ? Thanks

Reputable brand is circadin (it's the preferred one they will prescribe when they do prescribe)

colditz · 30/04/2010 16:10

don't know if this online chemist is reputable

navelgazer · 30/04/2010 16:14

They are asking for a prescription for circadin in this site and others. Thanks for the info though Colditz

biovea

navelgazer · 30/04/2010 16:17

Have you used it scared, from this site?

Try an american site. It's a cheap OTC med there, used commonly for jet lag. Might be cheaper to get it shipped.

navelgazer · 30/04/2010 16:26

there are sites in uk that sell melatonin, just wanted to hear from anyone who's bought it here

JackiePaper · 30/04/2010 16:26

if you know of anyone going to the states ask them to get you some, you can pick it up in the supermarkets over there.

navelgazer · 30/04/2010 16:27

they don't sell circadin but other brands of melatonin and don't ask for a prescription - like biovea
