My consultant has recommended this but have heard sooooooooo many bad things about it.

Anyone got any positives about it and have you had it for endo

Haven't got it for that but did get it fitted about 4 months ago for other reasons. Really bad periods and awful symptoms every month before DS was born so didn't want to go back to that after. Doctor recommended mirena.

Bit of discomfort fitting it but no more than a smear. Haven't looked back. Irregular bleeding for a few weeks and nothing since. I do get the occasional twinge but only like a mild ache, couple of seconds at a time. Would recommend it. Good luck!

I had it fitted for the same reason as you and had to have it taken out within a week. I have never experienced such pain. However, my friend has had one for 5 years and swears by it.

My bf had one fitted and absolutely loves it.

She reckons it has changed her life after being confined to the house for 3 - 5 days every month.

Now she just has spotting.

She has even taken up jogging!

On my second one, had mirenas for over 8 years occasional spotting when first fitted but now nothing. I have had no issues, I would give it a go, they are not difficult to remove if it doesn't suit you.

Mine got embedded in the lining of my womb.

Nurse who put it in was not the best.

Had it surgically removed after 5 months but no other issues.

Great for reducing the endo issues - flooding, etc. Just had spotting.

Go for it!

I had one fitted after my first child to use a a contraception and to help my endo it was brilliant , I ahd no problems at apart from when I had a smear the doctor caught my thread and I nearly shot through the ceiling !!
Then had one agin after my second child and had nothing but problems so I soon had it removed. I would say give it a try everyone is different. If you endo is like mine you will be prepared to try anything
