I had to laugh at my title! Anyway, i have had a raised bit (dont know how to describe it) in my lady bits and it itches. I have been to the doctors over the years told to get an sti check, thrush etc and now had steriod cream but nothing relieves it, any ideas???
Thanks!

could it be shaving rash? I get something like that for ingrowing hairs on the outside of my lady bits.

sb9 · 27/04/2010 11:03

Its not where i shave its actually inside lady bit lips ;)

Have you had genital piercing and mislodged it somehow?
Seriously, I'd ask for a referral to a proper ladylip consultant.

Nothing like that. Its the normal lumpy bits that are there like little glands but this one is raised a bit and itches...

Is it a Bartholin's cyst?

sb9 · 27/04/2010 20:40

Dont think so as its on the outer lips not the inner ones...

sounds like a cyst of some kind. Have you asked for a referral to a gynae who knows what's what? Hopefully!

ThatVikRinA22 · 27/04/2010 21:58

back to gp for a referral to gynae.

They dont know what it is, said may just be a fatty lump but as the steriods cleared up the infection they are not too worried. Not sure what to make though as still have a raised bit and it itches. ;(

Hi sb9, I had the same thing a few months ago - they said it was a cyst caused by an infection. I had to take ABs and it took about 3 weeks to clear..... all fine now. Hope you're feeling ok now!
