PCOS - can you get it "later" in life?

Hello. Is PCOS something you can develop, eg at my age, 40? Have a lot of the main symptoms and am being scanned etc for cysts later in the week, but have always thought PCOS was something you had from teens/twenties until a friend said she thought that wasn't necessarily the case??? Help please! Trying not to over analyse/diagnose before tests, but equally just want to be informed if they mention it, I know a bit about it...

Can present at any reproductive age, according to Wikipedia.
