Shooting pain in my head is getting on my nerves!!

Lasts for a second and is shooting upwards, above my ear. Does it sound like a migraine?

I get that occasionally, when I feel dehydrated. Have you drunk plenty of water lately? Also, eye strain gives me shooting headaches sometimes

Pardon the pun but it might be your nerves - that is, a kind of neuralgia? Doesn't sound like migraine (or a least the migraine I get)

I have MS, the 'normal' nerve pain I get is burning because they misfire so I've no idea. It's starting to p*ss me off though. I didn't sleep well so it could be this, a helicopter was flying over the houses at 2am and ds was up at 6am I might have a snooze for half an hour and see if it goes away (once I pull myself away from here)

My mum had neuralgia - very painful but nothing serious. Hope it's something like that.

It's still there, I've resorted to Ibuprofen.

I suffer from sinsus/catraah problems and reg I get the shooting pains and they also shoot down my neck. ALso short lived but horrible.
