Allodynia and Migraine

Hi Mumsnetters

I have been suffering with thermal allodynia and miraines about 18 months. My problems started when started to get intermittent stabbing pain in the top of my head, which increased when outside in the cold. I was perscribed Amytriptaline to be taken daily to stop the pain but to no avail. Adding to these symptoms I then started to get extreme burning sensation from my scalp, it actually felt like my head was on fire, for this I was given Lyrica to be taken daily. After a month of this chronic pain I then started with Migraines, these lasting for 3 days at a time. I have tried sumatriptan, migard, migraleve and am currently on Almotriptan. I am under a neurologist at present, who assesses my condition every 6 months. I am at my wits end, I take daily medication to prevent my migraines and Allodynia, only to suffer 2 migraines a week and daily pain from my Allodynia. I am amazed I have not lost my job, as I can have upto 6 days off a month. I have been googling my condition, and have read that chiropractice may help, has anyone had similar symptoms and ben to see a chiropractor.

Any advice welcome
