QUICK! Can I give Benylin night cough with piriton?

dd had an allergic rection swollen eye and pharmacist told me to give her a spoon of piriton syrup tonigh

She has got a cold and has started coughing really badly I usually give her benylin night cough but wondered if they are contraindicated

if benylin hasn't got antihistamine in it, would think it would be fine

have worked out it has

Is it a dry tickly cough or a chesty one? If it's dry you could just mix up some honey, water and lemon and get her to sip it to soothe the throat.
