gripe water - why not after 12 mths?

The packet says not for children over 12mths, but cannot find any information on why that might be. My Mum still takes the stuff and she is considerably older than 12 mths. Does anyone know why?

Hi I saw that!!!! My dd is 11 months and still has it from time to time. How funny at 12 months she not supposed to have it. Might ask my hv at her 1 year check and update you lol.
