scared i might have something seriously wrong

breathlessness/bag of feathers in chest started totally out of the blue about 4 weeks ago.dry cough started....no other symptoms except abit tired. persistent dry cough with a slight increase in clear phlegm. Cough more when i lie down.
got diagnosed at hospital with pericarditis 2 weeks ago as i developed a soreness around my heart.

Then got the worst ever sore throat with green phlegm(sorry TMI) and cough has got a bit worse since.
Beginning to wonder if the docs have missed something...scared because it all came on so suddenly.
It got worse after i flew home from a skiing holiday in france. Have had pneumonia 3 times before and scared of getting that again and worrying it might be cancer. why is my immune system so poor.I know thats probably silly,but lying here alone and awake,is doing my head in.

(and wish had taken a sleeping tablet, oops!) - giving myself 2am deadline, then eyes closed no matter what.

stayed in bed til 10am.....hope you managed to sleep too kez.dont feel any better......except coughing seems to be getting a bit less but heart pain still quite bad.still on ibuprofen ad codeine linctus.Now ive got constipation from the codeine. aaargh you take one medication and it causes another problem

was able to do a BBq for tea for DS1/2 and ex partner. Afterwards i had to sit down as i felt dreadful. Started to go really hot,flushed and a feeling of not been with it.
awww i hate this.....feeling this unwell really worries me. I thik i can cope with any other pain except round my heart.

have gone to bed again...just odding while i am typing. I am nodding off and then jolting awake........i am just soooooooo tired. I demand my energy back..who has stolen it!!!!!!!!

thanks bellavita.....i want the normal healthy sporty aly back. i miss her. i dont like having to go to bed sooooo much. Its making me feel old.

a little bit better till this evening and then the pain has come back. Did 20 runs up and down the stairs earlier today as i was starting to feel so unfit. I was ok til about an hour ago

aly - perhaps you need to leave the running up and down stairs for a bit . Sounds like you did too much too soon.
