Can you become intolerant to milk?

My 3 yo old son refuses to eat practically everything and only wants warm milk. I try to limit him to some in the morning and some at bedtime, so he doesn't get too full.

Just recently though everytime he has drunk his milk, he says that his tummy hurts because it is full up with milk. He then says that he feels sick. He has now started being sick fairly regularly and I'm getting worried about him. He had blood in his stools a few weeks ago and looks very pale most of the time. He is also very grumpy and miserable a lot of time, but I was assuming that this was his personality.

I have spoken to the Doctor and HV about his poor eating habits and was given the usual advice of he won't starve, just don't offer him anything else etc etc.

Do you think I should take him back to the Doctors to see if there's a more serious problem. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

TIA

I think you should take him back to the doctors, even if its just to put your mind at rest. My dd was like this at one stage and my HV told me the same, but its cr*p. My dd lost loads of weight and ended up having to be refered t a dietician.

Im sure things will be alright but if you're worried go back to the doctors.
