TMI, period and large clot. Should I worry?

My periods have recently become heavier.

Today is day 2 and when I changed my tampon, a really big clot came out. Sorry this is gross, but it was probably about 2 inches in diameter.

I had a smear 6 weeks ago which was clear but should I be worried anyway? I had one nightmare period about a year ago and had to have my coil removed but otherwise I have never seen a clot anything like this big.

have you recently changed your method of concraception? When I had my implant removed i had 3 - 4 periods where I had big clots too.

Bbt (love the name) no, had coil out ages ago. Nothing has changed. Very odd, had never seen anything like it.

Might be worth mentioning to your GP or womens health clinic but i'm sure its nothing to worry about but if its bugging you probably best to ask someone.
