Referral to gynae - what to expect?

First appt with gynae after being referred at my request by GP - been suffering from very heavy periods with tissue loss, very painful though shortlived midcycle cramping with pink/bloody discharge (about 30 mins of cramps, very intense). Kind of general achey twinges in few days leading up to period.

What can I expect? Internal scan?

Could this be endo or some kind of cysts?

Probably an internal and external scan.

Are you NHS or private?

It all depends on the gynae and funds I'd say. Def. an internal, maybe blood tests, possibly a scan- ask if it will be a TVS ( transvaginal sca- which is internal- )or over the tummy scan.
