why do men hate going to the doctor so much?

i'm pleading with my DH to go because his snoring is so bad. admittedly he doesn't have much of a personal incentive to do anything about it - he doesn't care if he snores the house down - but it is so loud we can't sleep in the same bed any more. As a result we are in separate bedrooms which makes me . He says he'd also much prefer us to be in the same bed but evidently not enough to get himself down to the dr to see if anything can be done about his snoring.
Even the neighbours complained about the din once
so i know i am not over stating the situation.
however DH is massively digging in his heels and pretty much refusing to go, saying he hates going to the doctor.

I think it's the same instinct which tells them that they must not ask directions.

On a practical note, have you tried surfing the web for some of the non-medical solutions to snoring like those things you put in your nose? (Sorry, bit vague)

DH says men wont go to the Dr because they will end up in hospital with a terminal disease.
Or in the case of your DH, probably cos he's a bit scared of what they will do.
