I've had foot fungus for many years, and it's beginning to drive me spare... Does anyone know how to get rid of it when it's really really taken hold?

I've tried all the different OTC creams, singly and in combination... some combinations worked for a while, but it always comes back. The skin is now peeling off the bottom of my foot in big chunks.... yuck

My ds had a fungus for a long while, no ointments would clear it (even precription), then he was found to be zinc deficient (via hair test). After supplementing zinc, bingo, we were amazed that his fungus went away. He had zinc + B vits, stil taking them occasionally now.
If you read up, there is a connection of zn deficiency & fungal infections.

interesting - thanks for that. I thought it was just the connection of my feet with the grotty floors in the local swimming pool... but even the most punishing regime of new flip-flops, cleaning flipflops and feet every time I use them, antifungal powders and creams galore, all just does nothing.

Time to try some zinc...

Ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist?

have you asked your gp for whitfields ointment. It is very effective for foot fungus. Have they not referred you to a dermatologist

depends what is causing it...some is candida, some are dermatophytes so you need to get a skin scraping for analysis.
