Just come on in the last two days, no new washing powder or anything, I have a sore throat and swollen glands in my throat, taken anti-histamine's but done nothing.

I look like I have been slapped and my left eye and lid and cheekbone is very swollen!

You poor thing, do you think it could be an allergic reaction?; have you recently had a strong chilli coconut curry? I'm allergic to those, also tomatoes, oranges.

'Slapped cheek' disease?

Slapped cheek syndrome unlikely to give you a very sore throat and swollen neck glands. If not improving would be worth getting it looked at by your GP - still most likely viral but could be signs of streptococcal throat infection in which case penicillin might be the answer (though usually antibiotics for sore throat not much use as usually viral).
Get seen sooner if you have a fever. The same bacteria, streptococcus, which causes bacterial tonsillitis, can infect the skin on the face giving the kind of swelling you describe. The area is usually red, raised, hot to touch and well demarcated. Known as erysipelas (or St Anthony's fire) it often occurs in association with streptococcal throat infection and responds well to penicillin too (assuming you're not allergic to penicillin)
