Feeling sick all the time but not pregnant

For just over a week now I have been getting really bad nausea, so much so that I have lost nearly all my appetite and have lost weight.

I'm definitely not pregnant because I have my period and have also been temperature charting and my temp has dropped.

Feel like I can't talk about it with anyone as people will assume I'm pregnant. Even DH is suspicious...

If I was answering this post I probably would say the same... but I'm definitely not honest!

We didn't even have sex this month

I just can't be. I really really can't be as I'm on medication which can cause birth defects

Just wondering what could be causing this nausea... am hoping it will go away on its own

if your liver is having a bit of a beating that can make you feel nauseous, could you be nursing a virus? Could you be reacting to your meds? I would go to the GP and get some bloods done to be sure.

maybe it's the meds... I'm on lithium...

I suppose that could be making me feel sick? But I've been on it for 2 years now and not had this problem before....

I was feeling rotten sick the other day, started off as car sickness and lasted 2 days felt horrendous. Also didnt feel like eating as I felt so bad, forced down a tin of soup and hey presto felt heaps better. I remember when i was pregnant and they said not eating makes you feel sick, and its hard coz you feel so sick you dont want to eat and so you feel worse. I remembered this and despite it making no difference when preg and felt sick all the time anyway, it did work for me. Sometimes tho as well the more you worry about feeling sick the more sick you feel, so maybe a distraction might help, getting out and about in the fresh air. Another strategy of mine is going to the Drs, I just know as soon as ive made that appointment I feel better!

IBS can give nasea terrible. Also post nasal drip caused by catarah.

Anxiety also gives you this terrible sensation.

I know what you mean, its horrible.

Thankfully after 9 days of nausea I'm starting to feel much better - hooray!

And I'm not pregnant - hooray!
