Argh it feels like I have something stuck in my throat

Felt it first, just after I had eaten my lunch, which was a cheese and pickle sandwich.

Can feel it mostly when I swallow, but am also aware of it being there all the time.

Have tried eating bread to shift it and gargling with water, but I can still feel it.

I did wonder if it was one of those tonsil stones, but I don't have a foul taste in my mouth or bad breath.

Any ideas ?

You have scratched your throat on your cheese and pickle sandwich. It will feel sore for a couple of days. If your saliva is not going down, then worry. Try coke (as in coca cola).

If saliva does not go down, go to A&E/call NHS direct

Oh do you think so. I didn't think a cheese and pickle sandwich could be so dangerous lol. Mind you the pickle was a bit hard.

I can still swallow ok at the mo, so should be ok, tis just irritating.

My DH had a similar problem with a chip one time. All will be ok. Because you have scratched it, it still feels like something is there!!

Just keep an eye on your saliva
