How high should a fever be before your take paracetamol to lower it?

I've recently found out that you shouldn't necessarily treat a fever under 38.3 in a child as the fever is doing good. Is it the same cut off for adults? (Mine is 38.5 and I'm just wondering whether it's better to leave it or not.)
Thanks.

Personally I would take paracetamol if my temp was 38.5. I'm a nurse. DS had a temp of 38 earlier, I gave medicine when I checked it again and had gone up (to 38.7)

I don't think you will do any harm, and you are likely to feel better.

thanks, yes have decided to take as feeling pretty ropey... Hope your DS feels better.
