For a number of weeks I have had cream coloured lumps in my stool - almost shaped like cashew nuts of all things! The dr looked at me as if I was crazy and I cannot find anything by googling - has anyone experienced?

Have you been eating cashew nuts?

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 15/03/2010 10:07

rofl falafel. what do you eat?

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 15/03/2010 10:08

why not go vegan for a while, see if it continues.

choclab · 15/03/2010 10:20

nuts seeds ,mushrooms, corn , may do this ...
I have IBS and often get undigested food in stools
keep an eye on what your eating ,does it happen every day , things like that .

I haven't eaten any nuts - the shapes are well formed and do not look like undigested food. The trouble with vegan is that I am already coeliac and struggling to keep weight on.

Also - I feel like I have had a stomach bug - lots of churning and feeling slightly nauseous but it has been going on for a while now.

but you don't think it's worms, i take it?

FalafelAtYourFeet · 15/03/2010 17:17

Could it be bits of tape worm or similar? have you been abroad?

piratecat · 15/03/2010 17:19

worms or mucus is my guess.

leaning towards the worms more tho. surprised dr didn't think that??

FalafelAtYourFeet · 15/03/2010 17:19

don't want to worry you but symptoms of tapeworms are passing of worm segments in the stool?

RedbinDippers · 15/03/2010 22:33

Have you tried tasting them? If they're meaty it's probably worms.
