Unusual very light period

Not sure whats gone on this month, but my period this time seems to be very light (a brown discharge with a little red blood in it - sorry if TMI) The pain is alot worse than normal too - in my back and lower tummy. Normally I have fairly heavy periods, but not alot of pain (count myself lucky there!!!)

I have had the usual pre-menstrual symptoms, weepy, stroppy, heavy legs, sore boobs, bad IBS etc

Also it is a little late, but that is not unusual for me.

I am on the mini pill, so unlikely to be pg ... just worried that it may have failed

Anyone had anything like this? Should I do a test?

My periods seem to do this sort of thing once every few months - just to confuse me and get me worried before settling down to routine again.

I think you should test, not because I think it's likely you are pregnant but so that you rule it out for your own peace of mind. If you did decide to go to your GP, they would probably want to do a pg test anyway so you would just be one step ahead of the game.

That sounds like pregnancy to me op. Think you should do a test asap. If it is negative wait until your next period and see how that is. If it's the same then go to the doctors to get the all clear.
