just start walking

how can a pedometer tell you your fat anyway
I though they just counted steps?

bloomingnora · 07/03/2010 13:48

You'll just have to take it on the chins then

I wouldn't take back chat from a pedometer. It sounds a cheeky bugger.

Pedometer encouraging you to walk and get fitter = OK. Pedometer making personal comments = ideas above its station.

It is a fairly fancy one so you put in your weight and height and it came up with 45.6 and has 3 people and the fat one was flashing.

I am eating chocolate doing what I want today and then tomorrow I am starting on the eat cereal and walk lots. It has gone on long enough and I have started to buy size 18 clothes and I can't blame that on my E cup breasts can I? so walking it is.

Walking is great - swimming also if you get the opportunity. Good luck.

Does anyone know how many steps you need to take each day to maintain your weight and how many are needed to actually lose weight?

I think you have to burn 3,000 cals to lose a pound. You have to eat that many to gain a pound so I spose it works the other way
