weird one: popping in stomach and major acid reflux Help please

Yesterday I had a terible stomach ache, quite high up and what felt like bubbles popping in my stomach, but pain has now gone but im left with acid reflux. It was so bad last night i woke choking as it had come up in my sleep
I have popped pills and drank gaviscon, but still there. I dont have an upset stomach as in toliet end either. Any ideas??
I have a history of stomach problems, I had stomach ucler at 17 and gall bladder emoved at 26. GP also think i might have IBS, could it be that??

I'm on lanzoprozole for the heartburn - it's usually wheat related (or peppers) - a matter i resolved by keeping a food diary.

It used to wake me up and even made me sick in the night a few times.

The popping sounds odd but could just be trapped wind.

So my advise - start a food diary it's probably a specific food group that causes the reflux and/or get some acid neutralising medication off your doc - unless you're pregnant!!

Bit high up for IBS. Before saw that you had gallbladder removed I was going to suggest gallstones. Have you ever had an endoscopy. Most stomach ulcers are now attributed to a bug called Helicobacter pylori that can be treated with antibiotics.

i have suffered from acid reflux for 10yrs or so, an still cant find a cure, i had an endiscope about 8yrs ago and it found i had h-pylori, i was treated for it and felt fine for a yr or 2 after, then all my symptoms returned i was back an forth to the docs, who prescribed omeprazole, ranitidine etc, all of these tabs gave me terrible side effects main one was anxiety and mood swings i stopped taking them an suffered in silence. last october i went back the docs, and i was given another blood test for h-pylori it came back positive, when i went for my results i was told by a diffrent doc that i shud not of been sent for blood test as h-pylori will always show antibiodies in blood many yrs later so he refused to treat me for it again, i then returned to the doc a month later because my symptoms were so bad and i was given a prescription for h-pylori, the treatment seemed to help as it stopped my morning nausea.
now am suffering again an am at my wits end as i cant eat anything without refluxing, i am permantley feeling sick, bloated an lightheaded.
