Cortisone injections to the neck - has anyone has these?

Does it hurt? Does it work?? What can I expect?

No but my mum used to get them in her shoulder and they helped her a lot. Can't remember if she said it hurt, but I imagine it would...

I will get the bumf in the post in the next day or so which will explain the proceedure but I just wanted some real experience IYKWIM?
