I've had it for 3 days now, I'm coughing so much I'm throwing up. The tickle is constant and the coughing is nearly constant. Hardly got any sleep last night and I'm shattered.

The only things that seem to help are eating or sucking cough sweets, neither of which are helping my diet. Is there anything else I can do?

sorry to hear that.

I have this problem too and have not found away of curing it.
I only seem to get it a night times, it lasts for 1-2 weeks then just goes.
Ive tried every medicine i can, having water next to me at bed but nothing works.

I hope someone can help you

Try nose drops, if its a post-nasal drip sort of tickle? dd2 has dreadful persistent dry cough today, and nothing has worked except paediatric Otrivine.

I tend to dose myself up with Medised (a 12 yr old's dose) when I get one of those coughs at night - prefer it to the stronger BEnelyn type cough medicines!

Poor you, could you try antihistamine? Sounds like this could work.

Sorry, my finger was quicker than my hand...

I had that in my last pregnancy, consyantly feeling a rough tickle, coughing till I retched. Doc prescribed non drowsy making Antihistamines and it went.
