Resting heartbeat of 40bpm!

My DH is moderately fit and average weight for his height - so no athlete. Yesterday he went to donate platelets and was turned down because his resting heartbeat was 40bpm. He was borderline last time too.

Anyone tell me if this is something to worry about??

I would make an appointment with the GP for an ECG to get it checked out.
If he is well in himself, then it's most likely nothing to worry about, but it needs to be assessed by his GP.
