I am so stupid - Can anyone advise about mixing skiing with a prolapse?

Right, we booked a ski holiday even before DS2 was born. Unfortunately, I suffered a vaginal prolapse 2 days after the birth of DS2. I saw a gyne soon afterwards and she stuck a ring up there for 2.5 months and removed it about a month ago. She wanted to review me around Easter so I can proceed on with a normal life, do my pelvic floor exercises before deciding on whether or not to have surgery.

At the moment, it feels okay. I've been doing my pelvic floor exercises and only feel pressure down there if I over-exert myself (walking too much, doing too much housework etc). So now, our ski holiday is this Saturday, I've only skiied once before so have booked 3 x 2 hours (over 3 days) of refresher lessons. Just occurred to me that I might not even be able to ski for that long! Argh, has anyone skiied with a untreated prolapse successfully? Should I cancel lessons? Any advice? Thanks!

Didn't want this to go unanswered. Had a prolapse and had the op- was advised not to lift anything heavy over a stone again ever, not to jog- did so and felt not too good down there- but not sure about skiing. Can you use your ring while you are there?

I wouldn't have thought that skiing put pressure on the pelvic floor in the same way as running etc but not sure.

Thanks purplepeony. We leave on Saturday so too late to go back to consultant for the ring, TBH, it feels more comfortable without. I have to pay for the lessons regardless as it's so late now, I just have to tell the instructor I need to take it really easy. It's not the pressure that worries me, it's the opening of legs on the skis...
