Essbee, I love meditating and also love doing that tape you order.

What I would do is, the first time you use it is,

Get the kids settled.
If you have any lavender spray, spray that on your bed and pillows etc beforehand
Plug in the boots sleep thing
Have a long soak in your dreams bath soak
Then, go downstairs,get yourself some warm milk,no tv or anything.
Back up to bed and drink you milk whilst reading, then
Get yourself comfy in bed, legs must not be crossed, but you can sleep on your stomach or back, whichever is comfiest for you.
Make sure the lights are turned off, lay back and listen to his voice, don't open your eyes if you can help it, and lay and relax completely, letting your arms and legs go and letting your breathing go shallow can be quite daunting the first few times you do it, but as you get used to it you really reap the benefits. Don't think of ANYONE or ANYTHING but listen to his voice.
