DS is 6 months old and has a dry lip which has cracked and been bleeding this morning, poor little man. Any ideas of what I could put on to help heal and prevent more cracking? He seems to have plenty of slobber so not sure how on earth his lips became so dry!!!

I'd use Lansinoh as it's great for my lips and you know it's completely harmless for babies.

Do you have any Lansinoh? Otherwise, vaseline, I guess.

Ah great ideas thank you!

vaseline cures all dryness

I second Vaseline... Waterproof, flavourless & unmedicated so even if he licks it, he's not going find it unpleasant or make the soreness worse.

Hi Lolbilly,

have always usedwww.weleda.co.uk/Baby/Baby-Skin-Care/icat/babyskin esp. the Calendula weather protection cream for 'drool rash' and chapped lips and the face cream in general. Really great, homeopathic, so even if he licks it off it will do no harm. Great products!

Vaseline Lip Therapy with aloe vera is good, comes in a little flat white and green tin.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour.
