Some questions about the Pill and Depo Provera

So, I was on DP for about 3 months and stopped them because I was bleeding throughout. I've now been on the pill for two months (no break in between as I wanted a break from freaking periods for a while), and started the gap (where you don't take for a week?) on Friday. No period. Though I was told you normally get one.

When you stop taking the pill, how many days does it normally take for your period to start?
Has it not come in because I was on DP before? The doctor said that it would take a while (if I had not gone onto anything else) for periods etc. to return to normal, so was wondering about this.

Anyone know?

When I was on a previous pill (femodette) my period didn't come until towards the end of the pill free week. I would still be having it when I started the new packet. I've changed brands for various reasons (still a low does combined one though) and now I find that my period starts within two days of stopping and has finished well before I start the new packet.

So - I would say - it varies. Plus I think the doc is right and it might take a bit to get into a regular cycle. Good luck and I hope the pill suits you.
