Boost your immune system by bumping up the nutritional content of your diet. In particular foods that give you plenty of iron, B vitamins and vitamin C. Kiwifruit is especially good, for example, as it's rich in Vitamin C and helps you absorb more iron from your food. Garlic, chilli-peppers and onions might not make you the most popular member of the baby-group (!) but they have fantastic antiseptic properties.

Keep your fluid intake up.... many of the problems with colds are due to dehydration. Rest is a must... don't try to overdo things. And, if sinuses get blocked, the old trick of putting some Olbas Oil in a bowl of very hot water, making a steam 'tent' with a towel and inhaling is much more effective than decongestants.
