Twisted my foot coming off the bottom stair this morning....

...and it blinking hurt! I can walk on it...well hobble, but it is very painful. I keep having sharp shooty pains across the bottom of my foot. If I can walk on it, it is likely to be fractured is it? Firends keep telling me it could be ( I keep telling them to stop )

I would take some ibuprofen if you can take it and paracetamol and then see how you go. Ice and elevation too. Sharp pains don't sound great but at least then if you do go down to hosp you can say you've taken the full load of painkillers and it still hurts (if it does). Makes you feel all self-congratulatory when the triage nurse says well done for doing the right thing.

Go see nurse about it, I had a similar fall and couldn't walk properly for 3 months. And no, I didn't see anyone because I thought it was just a sprain. Wish I had!

Yup taken ibuprofen and done the ice pack. It doesn't look particularly swollen. I think I will see how i go today and then if it doesn't feel anybetter later, i will pop to a & e.

Can you put weight on it?

it hurts across the bottom of your foot? get it x-rayed, you may well have busted something

Get it Xrayed!! I slipped on a doormat & managed to break my ankle in 3 places & dislocate it! easily done but I knew mine was broken as I heard it

PF - i "popped" my wrist picking up DS3 before xmas and it wasn't until i had to push our broken down car that i realised i had done more than sprain it. It was fractured!
Go get x rays while the DC are at school ...

KFP, I remember when you did that....mmm thinking I may need to get it seen....
