Nipple leaking green fluid please does anyone have any ideas?

Having just got out of the bath and was checking my breasts and one of my nipples is leaking green (yes grass coloured) fluid - has anyone experienced this or does anyone have any idea what may cause this - I am now petrified and the worse thoughts are going through my mind and looked it up on google and got not good information
please anyone got any ideas going out of my mind

I would ring NHS direct if I were you. Or do you have a walk-in centre nearby? (prob not on a Sunday evening).

could just be an infection. (DO NOT GOOGLE).

Green fluid often is a sign of infection.

anyway that's an emergency appointment for you tomorrow.

hopefully its nothing more sinister. tbh you would probably have other symptoms if it was.

thank you, am going to call nhs direct if only for my peace of mind.. it has scared the s**t out of me and i'm sat worrying what it could be thank you for your quick response.

i've had this before, did nothing and it went away (was at least 10 years ago so think I'm fairly safe in saying it was nothing serious). probably not recommended course of action but just to let you know it doesn't always mean anything scary

Something similar happened to me.

One of my nipples started leaking dark brown fluid, but def not old blood.

My gp was not concerned but sent me for a mammogram which was clear.

Just a weird hormonal thing, apparently - and not that unusual.

just got back from gp and they are sending me to see a breast specialist feeling a bit better today about it
