What works on a flaky scalp???

I knew I had a bit of a flaky scalp and I always use head and shoulders to try and keep it under control.
I dont usually notice white bits on my tops so didnt think it was that bad... but today at hairdressers she combed my hair when dry and then wet it and cut it and then when she blow dried it SO many flakes blew out it was v embarrassing!
Obviously need something stronger than head and shoulders!! Is there something I can buy or should I go and see my GP?

Are you sure it is dandruff?
I thought mine flaky scalp was dandruff for ages and it turns out it was exzema the whole time.

No I'm not really sure what it is!!
I do get exzema sometimes elsewhere, so it could be that... how would I treat that if it was exzema?

I got some liquid stuff (from the doctor) in a green bottle that I am meant to put on my head.

Try neutrogen t-gel shampoo. You can buy it in boots etc. More effective than H&S though smells a bit of tar! It can be used for dandruff and most other dry scalp problems. V.Good!
