Chest infection that won't clear

I am on a second lot of antibiotics for a chest infection. This week I also caught a vomiting bug. I am over that but I still feel drained and off my food. My chest still sounds rotten. I am worried that I have needed two courses of antibiotics (4th day of second course) and I still don't feel better. I am trying to look after a 4 year old and a 9 month old

Have you tried steaming with a bowel of not water/ vicks and a towel over your head?

Works every time for me

Try to get some probiotics into you as well (antibiotics kill all the good bacteria too)

Don't want to depress you Roseability but I have had 6 lots of ABs for a chest infection which started July last year. The first 5 sets did nothing. The last lot was last month (2 weeks Clarithromycin), as Dr now thinks it could be post nasal drip/sinus problem. Have actually felt v well since about Oct/Nov, but still have catarrh. Hope you get better soon. Am on vits, echinacea etc. Think if it is viral ABs don't do much other than stop secondary bacterial infection.

Again, one for going back to the GP and making sure it's not pneumonia. Bloody miserable it is. Good luck and am sending feel better vibes your way.
