I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow and have just had my first dose of Picolax (laxative). I've had two other laxatives prior to colonoscopies: one was Fleet and the other was Moviprep, and drinking the vast amounts of hideous tasting liquid was by far the worst part of the whole procedure. I was expecting picolax to be similarly horrific, but it was actually quite nice . It's orangey tasting (like the stuff you get out of vending machines) not at all salty or gloopy, and you only have to drink 150 ml (x 2).
Just thought I'd let any folk on here know about it, as the other stuff is really so dreadful. Why on earth do they prescribe it when there's such a pleasant alternative???
