Stitch type pain just below right rib?

I was wondering if anyone can advise me on this? For the past few weeks i have had this sharp stitch type pain just under my right rib, it hurts most at night when i am asleep but also comes and goes in the day.

This will sound strange but feels like a burn, or like something is rubbing on my bottom rib, i am going to doc in the morn (finally!) but has anyone else had this?

What about gall bladder??

Could it be that? i have no idea, thats why i thought i would post a thread see if anyone else has had this type of pain before?

Sorry can't help, I've had cracked ribs but nothing below, unfortunately you will have to entrust yourself to your GP. Hope all goes well.

I've had a torn muscle in that area before - could it be something like that? (you can do it just twisting to sharply or even coughing too hard)

Thanks everyone, it feels like something is rubbing, like a friction burn inside..hard to explain. Sharp pains though.

i had this the other day and googled it - i was thinking appendix or something but most google suggestions had something to do with the digestive system - anyway - i had a great shit and it went away

Thanks everyone, i went the doc this morning turns out i have pleurisy, so got some meds and hopefully that will clear it up
