ever since the new year I have been having some sort of allergic reaction.
Im allergic to cats and its exactly the same as that feeling, constant sneezing, eyes streaming, its normally worse in the morning and then is better mid-day only to return again later on.
Sometimes I can just sneeze constantly for an hour or so, its exhausting.

I thought maybe Id developed an allergy to our dog, as when Im out the house its much better. Or even more bonkers ..... allergic to ds2 who arrived before xmas

Me and dh went out on saturday and as usual I sneezed all morning, then we went out all day and I was fine, then FIL picked us up with ds2 in the car and within 5 minutes it started all over again.

Any ideas??????

p.s. I know it sounds crazy because im a nurse and know you cant be allergic to a person but why on earth would I be sneezing like this?

I think its more likely to be the dog. It could be that you've become more sensitive since your DS2 was born - hormonal changes and so on. My Dh and DD are both very allergic people, and things like changes in temperature/atmosphere etc. set them off as well as their original triggers.

Was DS wearing any clothing that could have been in contact with the dog?

No we all use the same washing powder and have done for a long time, before he was born anyway.

We all use different shampoo, dont think Loreal Elvive is suitable for baby ds2

Nappies are the same ones we used before, either pampers or huggies depending on my mood/vouchers

I'm not sure if they can test for dog allergy - I would think so.

Does the dog have long hair or shed its coat a lot? Maybe you could get its hair cut.

maybe dog is thinking 'now we can finally get rid of Mosschops once and for all)
