not sure what to do,have seen similiar posted before, but just need some opinions

DD is 15.8....developing normally, but no sign of any periods yet....should i take her to gp or leave it a bit? she's tall,5ft 8,filled out a bit over last year, not sure of her weight now. she's size 10 clothes though. healthy

DD 13.7 started periods last month..

starting to worry a bit...with gcse's on horizon want to avoid making her anxious

any ideas?

Tall girls start periods later. Don't worry

I think a GP might suggest a blood test for hormone levels. But you are right about not making her anxious. Maybe you could have a brief word with the doc and ask for advice. I appreciate that she is getting to an age where she is responsible for her own health issues/privacy but I am sure that the GP would be happy to discuss your concerns with you.

Petitioner might well be right - please don't worry about it. I might just have a brief word (NB my younger sis started about a year before me. In fact she was taller than me but also a little heavier).

Needs investigating if no periods by 16.

Girls often start periods when their weight hits around 8st- but this isn't a hard rule.
